I’m honoured to be featured in this month’s Architecture + Design as part of their Women Championing Crafts in India article.
The piece brings together designers, entrepreneurs and activists working across Indian craft, with a focus on how heritage techniques - including Jaipur block printing - are evolving today. Those featured include Jaya Jaitly of Dastkari Haat Samiti, Karishma Swali of Chanakya International and fellow Jaipurite Priyamvada Golcha of Khanoom.
I also appreciated the opportunity to highlight a younger generation of Jaipur-based makers whose work I admire - including Sachi Badaya of Bisou by Sachi, Garima Saini of Ram Gopal Blue Pottery and Bhaavya Goenka of IRO IRO.
“What unites them is a refusal to accept that beautiful things made by skilled hands should disappear.”

The whole piece is beautifully written. Kashish Kaushal’s take on my brand made me absolutely beam; I love that her questions didn’t beat around the bush, navigating cultural ownership, representation and the future.
