For our first foray into bed linens, it had to be roses. The front of the quilt is hand-block printed with my drawing of a David Austin 'Sweet Juliet' rose with petals unfurled.
Fully reversible, the back of the quilt features the Wild Garden print. Whichever way it is turned, it will bring joy to the bedroom (not to mention warmth).
Shop the look
When it comes to making the bed, I love crisp white cotton sheets as a foil to the rest. It should cocoon with a mattress topper and deliciously thick duvet. The quilt dresses and brings colour to the space, even just folded at the foot of the bed. Cushions are a must especially if - like me - you like to read on the bed.
