Bonadea has been my favourite London shop since it opened in 2021. Creative Director Gemma Martinez de Ana has created a wonderland of exquisite, heirloom pieces that epitomise 'l'art de la table' and remind us of the importance of handcraftsmanship.
As well as my table styling fundamentals, I demonstrated three ways to create gorgeous blooms for the table:
- A seasonal floral centrepiece
- Upgrading supermarket roses
- A minimal display using a flower frog

The tablescape is an ode to the Coral Sunset peony. Gemma encouraged me to be bold with this fabulous layering of hand-painted floral plates. The gingham napkins make me think of sun-drenched holidays and the napkin rings are a delight. These portable lamps from nearby Collier Webb are charming, even more so with these little 4.5 inch lampshades from Fermoie.
Thank you to Peggy Porschen and Maison Mirabeau for generously supporting with a delicious start to the day: lemon and raspberry sponges, pastries and La Folie sparkling rosé wine.
Thank you so much to everyone who shopped and came in to hello. I loved hearing about your styles, experiences and wish lists for what we should create next!
