Not only have I been wearing Beulah's exquisitely cut dresses (like this pink velvet one!) for years but they have been putting sustainability first, long before it was an industry buzzword.
They prioritise ethical, responsible design, empowering vulnerable women with meaningful, long-term employment. It's a value I hold close to my heart: thank you to everyone for buying tickets for these sold out masterclasses! Every penny is going to Vimukti Sanstha - the non-profit for under-privileged girls' education that I support in Jaipur.
The Table
I wanted a fresh take on classic Christmas red so chose the jewel tones of the Dahlia Tablecloth with its pop of lemons and amber. For flowers, anemones have just arrived at the market! These are called Anemone 'Mistral Tigre'. I find them so cheering. Intense colours and yet the frilly petals too.

- Composition
A classic off-white tablecloth with vibrant dahlia flowers in berry, coral and amber falling through its length. Rosanna drew this design based on those she grew on her terrace in Jaipur as well as the Jowey Winnie pom pom dahlia that she loves to arrange in the autumn back in London.
Block prints are usually regular and symmetrical in design but this tablecloth is unique with a naturalistic layout of flowers placed at random. Rosanna spent many happy hours with the highly skilled blockprinters perfecting this layout for her first design and is delighted to bring it back for the second collection.
Tablecloths are shipped in specially printed dahlia drawstring bags made from excess fabric.
Due to this piece’s print layout, no two tablecloths are the same.

The Details
The pièce de résistance of the table is definitely the napkin ring bows, you can see how to make them here. I added pomegranates and clementines... I love how fruit in a centrepiece adds liveliness.
The Tips
It's Christmas and everyone is so busy. So the crux of this talk came down to the ways I plan. I always start with a notebook then work out:
- Numbers
- Budget
- Type of people (work colleagues? Family?)
- Time of day (early evening drinks? Brunch? How long do you want them to stay?!)
- Type of party (based on the above)
And then, with that done, I plan my schedule:
- What can be made ahead?
- Where can people help?
- What is the standout element where you want to focus your efforts? A mega pavlova? A champagne tower? Floristry?
Thank You
With huge thanks to the partners who contributed so generously so that all event sales could go to Vimukti Sanstha:
- Peggy Porschen for the Winter Forest cupcakes
- Maison Mirabeau for La Folie sparkling rosé
- Wild Idol for the non-alcoholic sparkling wine
- Bonadea for plates, champagne coupes and napkin rings
- Candle Flair for candles
The pop-up was the most inspiring, stimulating experience. I'm so grateful to all of team at Beulah, especially Justina, Sara and of course co-founders Natasha and Lavinia (pictured). The team are all so 'can do' and positive. I've really thrived off their energy for the fortnight.
