Niravi Jaipur was the ultimate place to host this special occasion. This tropical garden hotel has long been a favourite: a haven in the heart of the city with its beautiful pool, elegant interiors and gardens reminiscent of Tangier. They curated a South Indian menu full of seasonal ingredients including Mangalorean kori curry (chicken, coconut and hand ground coastal spices), beans and raw banana portal, finishing with a chilled mango sago payasam.

The theme was an ode to my Roses & Berries print. I created the table arrangements with roses and foliage from the hotel's abundant gardens, reflexing the roses for fullness. Seasonal fruits in crystal stands and cerise taper candles gave height and interest to the table. I tied the cutlery in bows to match the napkins, and the menus were painted with the same design too.

The birthday cake was by Fait Maison by Prachi - so delicious and very on theme with florals!

What a joy to celebrate with 60 dear friends. By some monsoon miracle it was a balmy evening until 11pm when the heavens opened and a full-on flood began. We grabbed the DJ decks, cake and bottles and escaped somewhere even wilder for the after-party!
