Set The Table
I've been so excited for these placemats to arrive! Now that the Jaipur monsoons are over these were dried in the sun (a key part of the process) and have arrived in England ready to share with you. They are hand block printed by the same talented artisans as the rest of my table linens. It makes me so happy to be working on these and will give me a very good reason to return soon!
For this tablescape, I used the full collection, from the napkins to the placemats.
These placemats would be as pretty on the breakfast table as with the full family of Jaipur Bloom at the dinner table. For this garden party, I layered up pink and green plates and tied silver cutlery with raw silk ribbon. I baked this cake with strawberries, bananas and ricotta - highly recommended!
For the flowers I used the pink paradise bouquet from Wild At Heart, split into lots of bud vases, jars and milk bottles. I added some garden roses and Japanese anemones from my friend's garden too.
Use the placemats now for the last, delcious breaths of summer then bring them indoors to remind you of blooming roses in the winter. They are made from cotton canvas and just like all of my linens can be machine washed on a cold cycle (full guidelines here). I can't wait to see how you style them!
